Employee Highlights

Kenect is seeing tremendous growth in 2022, as more businesses learn the value of texting, and what it can do for customer communication. As we grow, we have also seen a lot of new faces as we expand our team at Kenect to meet demand.

In the past year, Kenect was named one of the best companies to work for by Utah Business. This is a high honor because the survey was done by employees who were asked specifically about what it was like to work for Kenect.

We also just expanded our office space, with room to grow as we continue to add people to the Kenect team.

With so many new faces, we wanted to highlight some of the hard-working people behind the scenes. Today we introduce you to Jake Lauritzen.

What is your role at Kenect?

Senior Account Executive.

What is your favorite part about Kenect?

We have an amazing product and amazing people here. The product has a direct impact on small businesses and helps them operate much more smoothly and the people make it really easy to want to stick around here for a very long time.

What have you learned during your time with Kenect?

How the effort of one individual really matters and makes a difference. It’s been really cool to see this place grow as fast as it has since I started. When you’re a company of our size, it’s really easy to see how each individual can help grow a business and scale it faster.

What is your favorite activity?

Anything sports related is always fun for me! Either that or going to live concerts. Live music is always so much fun!

What is your favorite movie or TV show?

Favorite movie has to be “The Count of Monte Cristo,” and “The Office” is the GOAT of all comedy tv.

How do you like to spend your free time?

You’ll pretty much always find me outdoors camping with my wonderful wife and 2 kids, playing all kinds of sports, or shooting out at a gun range.

Something interesting about yourself?

I have a love for firearms, love shooting and competing on an amateur level.

If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would you go, and why?

I would love to go on an Alaskan Cruise or hunting trip. That place has always been a bucket list location to travel to and experience the land there.
