Demand for texting is growing among small businesses and as a result, Kenect is also growing to meet our customers’ needs. We have added dozens of new people at Kenect in just the past year, and we continue to look for great talent.
Kenect was recently added to the Inc. 5000 list for the second year in a row, recognizing the growth we have experience over the past year. According to the list we are now the sixth fastest growing company in Utah.
We were also just added to the Deloitte Fast 500 list for the second time, recognizing the fastest growing technology companies in North America.
As Kenect continues to expand, we are constantly adding new team members. This week we are introducing you to Cooper Hanson.

What is your favorite part about Kenect?
I love the opportunity to grow and learn really quickly. There are so many great things going on and that puts people in positions to step up and perform.
What have you learned during your time with Kenect?
There are so many things I’ve learned while working at Kenect. The biggest one to me is probably just how to be a professional. When I started here, I was only 24, still in school and really didn’t know what I wanted to do. I’ve learned what I want my career trajectory to be.
What is your favorite activity?
I love to golf and watch basically any sport at any time. I have a game of some sort on my laptop almost every night. I also love movies and TV as much as anything. I love going to the movie theater any time I can!
What is your favorite movie or TV show?
Favorite movie is a tough question! I’ll give you a couple: “The Godfather Parts 1 & 2,” “Spirited Away,” “Into the Spider-Verse,” “The Departed,” “Coco,” “E.T.,” “The Tree of Life,” “Cinema Paradiso,” “Prisoners,” “Lord of the Rings” are a few.
TV Shows – “The Sopranos,” “Breaking Bad,” “True Detective,” “Succession,” “Dexter.”
How do you like to spend your free time?
I love to play with my son, Sonny, whenever I can. I love to play golf. I love to see movies with my wife at the theater!
Something interesting about yourself?
Our house is basically a mini farm (not on the Waid Nielson level yet). We have chickens and two massive dogs, a Golden Retriever and a Great Pyrenees named Kal and Connie. I also have a saltwater reef/fish tank that has been consuming a good amount of time lately.
If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would you go, and why?
Italy! I would love to sit in Italy for a month and do nothing but eat the food.
