Behind The Scenes

Sometimes the smaller conferences can turn out to be the most rewarding, and that was certainly the case as we traveled down south for the Last Chance CLE conference.

The event was held this year in New Orleans, and it was perfectly situated in a hotel right in the core of downtown.

I was fortunate enough to travel with the Kenect team. This was my first trip with the company, and a chance for me to meet some current and potential customers in the legal field.

Last Chance CLE was a smaller event compared to years past, and most of the people I spoke with said this was largely due to the pandemic. However, there was a good turnout, and we spoke to people to traveled from as far away as California.

We set up our booth in the center conference space, allowing people to come up, ask us questions, and get some Kenect socks (easily the highlight of the booth). This was a great setting to get to know people a little better, and what their needs are for their particular law firms.

People recognized us as the leader in text messaging, especially with news of Zipwhip going out of business.

The other members of our team had similar experiences at the event.

While our sales rep. was closing a deal, our Director of Event Marketing ended up closing another Zipwhip customer.

Many people were also excited about our new partnership with LawPay. I spoke with several people who had only heard about it and were surprised at how easy it would be for them to add Kenect.

Our integrations are so intertwined now, many of the people we talked to realized we are the best solution without question.

One lawyer, Chris, was partnered with Clio and LawPay and signed up with no questions asked, after he saw what we could offer his firm.

The two-day event was just the right amount of time. It was short enough for people to get their CLE credits, but long enough for us to make new connections with customers.

All-in-all, the team had a great time in New Orleans, and we look forward to 2022!
