On the Road With Kenect: AAJ Annual Convention

As restriction keep lifting in 2022, we are heading out on the road, meeting clients, and educating new ones about the benefits of business texting.

This week we headed out to Seattle for the American Association for Justice Annual Convention. It was held this year at the Seattle Convention Center, right in the heart of downtown.

The convention was held over a long weekend, and included several activities including education programs, information on the latest trail developments, and tech innovations.

Two of our team members attended the convention and set up a booth to help inform people about the benefits of business texting. They said they had a lot of interest, as many smaller law firms are looking for ways to improve and streamline the client relationship. This is an appealing option for many law firms because through the Kenect platform, they are able to use their business phone line instead of their personal number.

They said the venue was big and there was a good turnout. Anyone who attended had to have a negative COVID-19 test, or proof of vaccination. In the past few years, pandemic concerns have kept many people away from events like this, but our team says this convention had a great turnout.

“It was well attended, great mood, and a big venue… Some people were still in masks. People were happy to be back seeing each other,” said Tyler McQueen, one of our team members at the event.

In addition to the convention, the weather was great. Many people were able to get outside and meet each other after the convention to discuss legal topics, or just enjoy being back at an event with their colleagues.

Our team also got a chance to see some of the city. They tagged a long with a few people from the convention who were out and about. They got to see many of the sights, including the space needle.

Overall, the team says this was a successful trip. They got a lot of interest at the convention, and they are finding more and more lawyers are learning the value of texting as customers look for easier ways to communicate.
