Kenect Employees Give Back to Families in Need

Each year, Kenect employees band together to help people in need during the holiday season. With the Pandemic still going, this year was very hard for many families, and Kenect wanted to spread the joy to some of those hit hardest.

In November, we chose five families to help, each going through a variety of things that are making the holidays especially difficult for them.

One of the families lost a baby daughter and is struggling with medical bills. Another is dealing with extra costs for caring for a loved one. We also had one of our own Kenect team members diagnosed with cancer and is dealing with treatment during the holidays.

So, with them in mind, Kenect employees go to work. We asked the families to create a list of things they need, like socks, shoes, bedding, with a few extra toys added in.

Then we all chipped in to help. Some with gift cards, others with just a few dollars to go towards essential items.

We also heard stories of Kenect employees going shopping with their own families to help buy gifts for the families on the list.

It was a group effort by Kenect employees, who were all ready to help in any way they could.

Remote employees also took part in this annual event. Many wrapped and shipped their presents into the Kenect offices, ready to be delivered to the families.

Some even took time to wrap gifts right in the office to make sure the kids had something to open on Christmas Day.

For weeks, the gifts started piling up in the office, separated out for each family.

With all the presents in place, the only thing left was the delivery.
