Kenect is based in the “Silicon Slopes” of Utah. Our team is committed to helping businesses grow and succeed through our state-of-the-art business texting platform.

With Kenect, our goal is to make text messaging the primary communication tool for any business across the U.S. and Canada.  Texting is the way the consumer wants to do business. It’s time for businesses to embrace that trend and stop the constant game of voicemails, phone tag, and making customers wait on hold.

The Role:

Kenect has experienced 4+ years of supersonic growth, and we’re just getting started! Our revenue has more than doubled in the last 12 months. We’ll have 160 employees by the end of 2021 (up from 45 about 14 months ago) and we need an expert human resources leader to help prepare to scale the organization.

This role will be fast-paced, self-managed, and highly entrepreneurial.  This role will be a 50-50 blend between high-level HR strategy, and tactical/in-the-weeds HR execution.  Kenect needs a leader who is willing and able to execute on both sides.

What you'll do:

• Be a trusted leader who will build our HR function from the ground up

• Serve as an in-house HR compliance expert

• Ensure a safe environment/workspace for all employees

• Own and manage employee benefits package design, selection, communication, and support

• Assist the CEO in maintaining a world-class company culture, through emphasis on Kenect’s company values

• Fully own HR operations including HRIS administration, employee onboarding/offboarding, compensation benchmarking, management training, reward and recognition programs, and design career-pathing within the company

• Manage the company’s talent acquisition strategy and efforts

• Build and manage company-wide employee performance management (360 reviews, feedback, performance improvement plans, etc.)

An ideal candidate will have:

• Knowledge of federal and state regulations, filing and compliance requirements including ACA, ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, Section 125 and worker’s compensation

• Must excel in both written and verbal communications including the development of management development curriculum and coaching, mentoring and motivation


• Successful experience managing all aspects of HR function as listed above (compliance, benefits, compensation, company communication, culture, people operations, recruitment, and performance management

• Ability/willingness to flex between tactical and strategic work on a daily basis
